The IMDDA Announces The Appointment of a New Director of Education

NEW YORK, LONDON, May 9, 2017 - The Investment Management Due Diligence Association (IMDDA,) the only independent global organization focused on investment management and operational due diligence, today announced that Herb Chain has been appointed as the Director of Education. In this capacity, Mr. Chain will be working with IMDDA Executive Director, Andrew Borowiec to design and develop learning solutions and training initiatives for the global network of IMDDA members and their colleagues around the world.

Herb Chain brings to this position 40 years of comprehensive investment management experience, deep knowledge of the industry, pedagogical expertise, and a forward-looking perspective for the IMDDA and its global curricula initiatives and programs.

Herb served as audit partner for 27 years with Deloitte focusing on the investment management industry. During this time, Herb was a member of the firm’s professional practice network and served as Deputy East Region Professional Practice Director. Herb currently serves as a Professor at St. John’s University, where his primary focus is on SEC reporting, enterprise risk management and professional ethics. He will continue at St. John’s while he works with the IMDDA.
