NEW YORK, LONDON, May 8, 2017 - The Investment Management Due Diligence Association (IMDDA,) the only independent global organization focused on investment management and operational due diligence, today announced the appointment of a new member to its advisory board, Christie D’Amour, Chief Operating Officer of Emory Investment Management.

We conducted an exhaustive search for someone who would further strengthen our board’s breadth of talent and background, and we are delighted to have identified such an outstanding individual,” said Andrew Borowiec, IMDDA’s Executive Director. “I am confident that Christie will have an important and positive impact on our Association.”

Christie joined Emory Investment Management in May of 2013. Her responsibilities include investment operations, technology and systems, operational risk management, compliance and due diligence, investment/performance analytics & reporting, and other non-investment related business operations such as human resources, finance, vendor management, and project management. Prior to joining Emory, Christie was the Chief Operating Officer of Spider Management Company, the University of Richmond’s investment management company which is also an outsourced CIO provider for other endowments and foundations. She was responsible for oversight of all non-investment activities within the firm. Christie has worked for Hofstra University, MSC Industrial Direct and Coopers & Lybrand in New York. Christie holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Scranton.
With this newest addition, the Board is now comprised of 14 industry leaders with expertise in all aspects of institutional investment management, operations, compliance, due diligence and technology and systems. The IMDDA Advisory Board members provide recommendations on how to best address the opportunities and challenges in the industry and plays a pivotal role in developing due diligence education, connecting industry professionals, and staying abreast of the evolving needs of the industry, all to scale the IMDDA's unique programming.
